The Road to the Coast.

These paintings are of the Wyld valley in Dorset where I live at the moment. It really is spelt “wYld” that’s the name of the stream that runs through it. The two side-by-side are of Lambert’s Castle, an iron age hill fort, looking East towards Portland, and West, thickets of ancient crab-apples and rowans where for centuries people gathered to race their ponies round the hilltop. A magical place. Next to them, a gouache painted on Stonebarrow, looking towards Golden Cap on a fine November afternoon. Apart from this one all here are acrylic, and all are for sale.
